What we believe

  • We believe in the Word of God: Wholly inspired in the original languages, the only basis for our faith, used and empowered by the Holy Spirit to change men.
  • We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, one God manifested in three persons, incomprehensible but discernible in the Scriptures.
  • We believe in Jesus, God in the flesh, pre-existent in Heaven with the Father, sent down to men in the body of the son of Mary, sinless, sacrificial, dying on a cross, resurrecting and ascending into Heaven, where he sits on the throne until his imminent second return in glory and power and judgement.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who brings supernatural and natural giftings to men, such as speaking in tongues, prophecies, words of wisdom and knowledge, etc. The Holy Spirit convicts men unto repentance, teaches Scriptures and consoles man.
  • We believe in the Sinfulness of Man, inherent, innate and inevitable. All men are sinners and all men need forgiveness from God and repentance from sin, both definitive and ongoing.
  • We believe in Salvation by Faith in God’s Grace as the only means to restore relationship with God. While works are an evidence of what is done in the heart, it is man’s decision to put his faith in God and receive Jesus alone that brings salvation. You cannot earn your salvation.
  • We believe in a literal devil, Satan, who is a malignant being, enemy of God and of man, who took the form of the Serpent in the Garden of Eden and who opposes God’s plans and constantly tempts man. He is a person, not just a vague dark force.
  • We believe in angels and demons are real beings and not symbols or metaphors. The angels remain in service to the Lord and the demons have abandoned their prior status as angels and are now fallen, in service to Satan and in opposition to mankind.
  • We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell, the former for eternal life in joy, love and peace in relationship with the Trinity and with angels and other Christians, and the later a place of eternal torment and death for all who reject God’s free grace.
  • We believe in the church as the institution that Jesus founded on Earth for the gathering of believers, for their encouragement, for exhortation, for correction, for discipleship, for equipping of saints to the service of Saints. We believe God sent pastors to found churches.
